Default Front Differential Gear Muddy Oil in KingQuad 300

Just drained the gear oil for the front differential in my 1999 Kingquad 300 and its full of mud!!! Noticed that the water drain hose was missing and I saw a bit of leakage around the right side where the cv arm attaches to the gear housing.
I need to flush it and refill it with oil so what should I do?
How much oil is needed and what type?

Thanks for your input.

flush it out with some desil fuel or kerocine, old farmers trick. is the fill plug at an off set angle? if so then that is probly the fill line. install drain plug then fill with hypoid 80w gear oil. any autoparts store or walmart will have it. once the oil starts seeping out the corner of the upper fill hole quickly insert the plug.

i would also find some breather hose and clamps, relocate the end of the breather hose up high on the frame. so if you get into mud or water it will be less likely to get into the breather hose and down into your diff

good luck! i would also drain and refill the rear diff as well
