Suzuki Vinson Leak
#1
I am definitely not a mechanic but have been keeping my fluids changed more than regularly. Well yesterday I was doing the oil/diff/bevel fluid change on all the 4 wheelers and noticed that the front diff (manual calls it the bevel) was leaking fluid from the right side (if you are looking at it from the front). Any ideas what this could be? Anyone ever have this problem before? I drained the existing fluid and it still had some in it (so it wasn't dry thank goodness). This may be beyond my abilities but I do not want to get bent over by a shop this soon after Christmas when money is tight...

ok, 1. did you fill the front diff with the proper amount of fluid? 2. if so, the seal/bearing is warn. if you are confident in your mechanical abilitys you can do it at home. but if not it is a job for a mechanic. there are seal and bearing kits avalibal on the net or threw a dealer

After extensive research I also think it is a seal/bearing issue on that side. I did find the bearing/seal kit and also a detailed picture by picture "how to" on how to remove the front diff on the vinson. Just got to get the courage to do it!
