What quad do you think is better. A z400 or a raptor 660. Im thinking an 03 z400 and an 04 raptor. I have a nice modded z400 but I could have gotten 660 for $1500. I got the z400 for $1000. What do you think is better?

 

for open raceing, or trail rideing? better is a relative term... ik the z400 is a nice fast bike you can ride juast about anywhere, and iv heard from severail people that the 660's are completly unrideable as a trail bike... but iv never taken a 660 on a trail so i cannot confirm

 

have 2 raptors & the 660 is a great bike 700 even better

 

The z400 is much better than the old 660, no question about it....... In stock form they are just about the same speed, but the Z will out handle the old 660 anywhere at any speed.....

I ride with a 660 sometimes, and in the open he can stick right with me, but as soon as a turn comes along I pull away..... The more turns the bigger the gap...... The 660 is fast, and has a ton of torque. But going into turns it is too tippy, and coming out of turns it is hard to keep the front end planted and it pushes wide unless you back off the gas. I've ridden it a number of times, and IMO it handles like crap....

The 700 is another story.... that is a great quad, much better than the old 660 in the handling department......

 

ive got the z400 but it is up on blocks(waiting for bearing carrier to come in). I started it and it is awsome. I just wanted to know how it rides.
