1999 suzuki quad runner 250 2wd.....runs fine with "lights on"....click key back to just "on" it act as if it just went into limp mode...can't/won't rev and will just bog even worse when you try......click key back to "lights on" runs fine again.....other symptoms which may or not be related....said new battery 2 months ago but keeps going dead...can jump off with cable just fine....have not tested for charge yet or if charging...going to let trickle overnight...thought maybe someone here may have seen this before...thanks in advance!!

 

It would seem that there is a short in the switch. Something is grounding out causing the discharge.

 

thanks...i should have full charge this afternoon and will begin there...maybe with lights on it is using the lights' ground...hmm we'll see....thanks again
