Are you revving it out that high?

Wouldn't valve float contact the valve to the piston tho?

Not on a utility with a low cam duration. They would have to float for a LONG time.

If valve floating is a concern, just get a stiffer valve spring. If it was the 250 version, I would say just get some 230 quadsport springs, but I'm not sure what the 300 head looks like. The 230 and the LT-4WD has the same head (effectively).

Yeah, I was noticing that between the 2 of them, I have not eaten any valves yet in the 230, but I have gone through one, and my brother in law went through one on the 4WD when he owned it.

Hmmm.... The 230 has nice round-wire double springs on each valve. The LT4WD has only one spring and its some kind of goofy square wire or something. At least mine was.

All the springs on all 3 models are the same, so get 230 aftermarket springs. They should be plenty stiff.
