It is a 2008 Suzuki King Quad 450, automatic. Went to ride it the other day and all of the sudden it will not shift. It will get up to about 35mph and just rev out. What could cause this? What should I check?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, CVT transmissions don't shift like traditional transmissions on cars. They just have a belt that moves on two pulleys, no gears. As speed increases, nothing happens with the transmission that you would notice, other than maybe a whine.

 

I know that it has a belt, that is why I was confused. Someone told me to check the shifter, but I am not sure what or where this is.
