Do you have to run the 250 chain as well to make up for the length?

there was alot of trial and error on this project a simpler shock set up could have been used, but i wanted to use the long travel shock i got it was like 4 inches longer so i new it wound be better than any 250s shock i could find not to mention it was 20bucks. I didnt have to run the 250 axle , the sproket carriers are different between the two.the 250r carrier is alot closer to the swingarm to get the chain to line up i had to use the 250r carrier. the chain is the longest one i could find non riveted just used a master link. oh yeah i machined about 1/4" off of the left side of the swing arm to fit in the narrower 230 chassis. tired of typing now
