Bad idle, tends to stop, kingquad 300
Hello
I have a king quad 300 about 03. It doesnt like to idle and keeps stopping if I need to open a gate or something. Smells a bit rich sometimes and eventualy with all the starting I need to charge the battery. I put in new plug, new air filter the suzuki dealer fiddled a bit and said probably the carb is probably worn.
I dont know the carb but is there anything on it I could replace if its that.
Any ideas anyone
Thanks

I had an 01 King Quad 300 that did the same thing only worse. Hard starting, wouldn't idle, ran rough, all when warm. Tended to overheat on trail rides, would have to wait for it to cool before continueing. Tried several different setups, jets, carb. settings, etc. Finally was told that the 01 had a design flaw, something about the top end of motor not getting enough air circulation. I was told that the only option was to install a fan kit for around $300 which would help problem. Maybe a fan would help yours.
