Engine starts in low and high range in neutral.It doesn't work in diff lock.

 

Did you ever find out the issue? I have the same problem, cant seem to figure this one out.

Figured it out this weekend. Small 18t gear in sub transmission has spun welded itself to a splined bushing. Looked like it came that way from Suzuki, thus threw me for a loop for a few weeks. Need new gear and bushing $60 in parts, easy fix.

 

Do you have to remove the engine to install the 18t in the sub transmission?
