I appreciate the pics! I found the fuel screw just yesterday. I had to pull the carb from the motor to get to to it. The plug that shows in that picture had already been pulled by someone else. Once I flipped the carb over, I could see the head of the screw. I turned the screw in slowly counting the turns, and it worked out to be about 1.7 turns to seat. I tried backing it out to 2.5 turns just to see if it would make a difference.. It did not. Bike still pops and spits out the exhaust and stalls if you are not holding the gas. I adjusted the idle up with the idle **** to keep it running. Even if you are not touching the gas the bike will constantly rise up in RPM, then fall back down, then rise up, then fall back down.. Just keeps cycling like that until it finally dies. Does the screw control an emulsion of gas & air, or does it just control one or the other?? I would think an emulsion, but I'm not sure. Does turning it in lean reduce the volume of emulsified fuel, or the opposite?

Anyone know of a way to check fuel level in the float bowl with the carb on the bike? I thought about getting some clear plastic tubing, then attaching it to the drain port on the bottom of the carb, then routing the tube of plastic up alongside the body of the carb, then putting the petcock in the "PRIME" position. With the drain screw open, the gas should fill the bowl, and the clear tube, and show me how high the fuel level is in the bowl.. Problem is I can't find any clear tubing, and don't see a way to attach the tubing to the drain port.. I want to do this just to rule one more possibility out.. That is an incorrect fuel level in the bowl.

float hight is 13 mm
turn carb up side down ,while the float arm is contacting the needle valve ,measure from the carb body to the higest point on the float 13 mm +/- 1 mm
bend the tonge till its with in range.

my self i like to have carb right side up with gas in line ,then lower float till gas runs and adjust tonge till its with in the range of 13 mm
