Default Cracked Case, Will still Work?

I hope i can explain this well enough. I bought a 1989 LT250r with a broke piston, once i split the case i found that the broken piece wedged itself between the bottom of the crank and the case. Well, it cracked both cases from the pressure of the piece between the crank and the wall. it is not fully broke but cracked and a little out of shape. My question is do you think that this will matter? is there pressure in the crank area? the cracks look more like hair line and not huge. Is there oil in that area? Need help.
Thanks

the only way to know is to put it back together and pressure test it. if it leaks the engine wont run right cuz ull burn tranny oil

if its apart bring the cases to a good atv shop to look em over and determine weather theyre shot or not and if theyre fixable go to a good welder as u know small cracks can get worse
