How exactly is this O-ring supposed to be installed on the fuel mix screw?

Remember I was having problems with my quads, rebuilt the carbs and they ran worse?

Well one ran OK and one ran crappy. Someone on youtube recently said it was a bad O-ring install on my screw...which could explain how I got the one running after replacing the broken fuel screw...

Anyway how does the O-Ring/Spring attach?

O Ring on the front of the screw, the back, or what?

 

is this a screw with a spring around it? if so, im pretty sure that there should be a little brass washer between the o ring and bottom of the spring.

 

Yeah but I don't recall a washer with it? Just a spring and little o ring

 

hmmm well i wouldnt think that the o ring could effect how the bike runs anyways. worst case it would cause a leak.

 

I just rebuilt my 85 LT230- Mikuni and the order of installation on that screw I believe is o-ring,tiny washer, spring, and ofcourse the screw inside of this assembly. This is how I did mine and it runs great.
