Electric start / pull start
#11
I would think a 125 wouldn't be that hard to start. It makes what, 10 hp? The Rancher I just sold needed to be pull started a few times as the battery had to be replaced. It was pretty easy to pull start. I'm no Hercules myself but probably a little stronger than average at least. I'm 41 by the way, that's where the 74 in my name comes from, year of birth. I can tell I'm not quite as strong as I was when i was 25 though. This Grizzly I have now, I'd probably hurt my shoulder if I had to try to pull start it. I wouldn't even try.

I didn't leave it that way long, I thought I would eventually break the rope too and then have no way to start it as you said. My old 8 hp snapper lawn mower takes about the same effort to pull start as that Rancher 350 did. The old Honda 300 has kick start as the backup if the electric start doesn't work. I'm not sure if thats easier or not as I've never kick started one.

Looking for other than pull start...
Hey everyone new to this, my 84 Suzuki lt125 the pull start pulley (plastic) just to were the rope wont hold and nothing wont work for it. Is their anything that could convert it to electric start?
yeah more store about my 84 Suzuki lt125,
I found it on Facebook for $550 and talked the guy down to $450, he swared up and down everything was redone on it and this that and the other. Like took it home and it wouldn't do anything, rebuilt the carb oil change and now the pull cord peice is shot. And didn't have power to it at all. Just annoyed with it because I think I screwed myself on buying it for 450...
