I am having trouble with my Vinson 500 auto - very similar to other posts...

Running very rich, only runs with the choke on, I have had the carb apart several times...etc.

I am going to but a rebuild kit in the carb. Does anyone know what the proper float height is?

Any help is appreciated.

 

I don't know if this will help but my 04 Vinson would only run with choke on, and not real well. I put a sponge mop ( like the ones that come with car wax kits) in front of the snorkel and have about 90% covered, it runs like a scalded dog now. Don't laugh it works, don't know why either.
