I know there aren't many exhaust options available for the LT230, but I have heard of people modifying after market exhausts from other quads to work, such as pipes from the 250x. Does this really work? Will the head pipe work too? or is this only for silencers? Thanks in advance for any replies.

PS, I'm only on page 47, but so far the LT230 thread is EPIC.

There are some limited options. I have 4 of these quads, two with stock, two with the $100 black steel Cobra exhausts. Stock is quite corked up and very quiet. The Cobra exhausts are loud but they really let those quads rev and give some decent bottom end but most the power is up top. They can be found readily but i'm not sure if i'm supposed to post business names in replies so PM me if you need. I'd be up to trading one of these Cobra systems for a complete, not heavily rusted stock system. DG makes two variations still, one is super sweet looking its all plated about $250, their other option is about 120. Cobra still makes two variations a all black steel, and one thats steel headpipe and aluminum repackable silencer.
