Default LT80 and power reduction system

Greetings!
My daughter is riding a 2006 LT80 in which the power reduction system (resistor plate in the pipe and carb) Current top end speed for her is about 12 MPH. I'm looking to removing them to give a slight increase in speed. My question is should I take out one oor the other or do I have to remove both? If I should remove both then I'm guessing I should adjust the throotle limiter to reduce speed?
thanks in advance

I'd remove both and limit the speed like you stated.

Hello lt80. I need help!!!!! My kids have finally got old enough to want to ride so as u can imagine I am excited. I am an old school guy so 2 strokes are the way for us. So I found some lt80s but they have some issues and love needed. My first issue is that I want to remove the oiler. I am aware of how to do it but my only question is once I do do I have to rejet the bike every time we go to the coast? I have a lot of banshees, 250rs, lt500,and a tecate. And I know you either jet for the coast and never change it and have a bike for the woods or keep jetting back and forth. Or else burn up the bike. But I have been told you don't have to do that with the lt80. The stock jetting is good at the dunes. Is this true? Or is that true only because of the auto oiler? I plan on removing the oilers and also replacing the malfunctioning fuel petcocks with normal ones and plugging the vacume lines. I just want to know what to do with jetting if anything at all. The fuel mix I use for all my other bikes is 2 gal of non ethanol 94 octain to 3 gal 110 race fuel mixed 40 to 1 with redline race oil. Please help it already stopped our trip this weekend to the sand due to these items not working but we are trying to salvage it so we can get the kids some seat time tomorrow. Thanks lt80. I hear u are the man!

Howdy.
The LT80's are not fussy for jetting. Leave the stock jets in. They'll be fine in the dunes.
94 and redline is fine. I mix at 32:1 but 40:1 is fine. No reason for a mix of 110 unless compression has been bumped up.
Hope that helps.

Default Thanks

Thanks lt80,
Yep. Just got done troubleshooting. All 3 needed new fuel petcocks. Lol. What a piece of..... Lucky I had one banshee on hand and was able to order 2 more without the diaphragms. One wouldn't work at all and the others would just start to fill up the motor. For now in line shut offs for the other 2. And as for the oilers. All going to disappear after today's ride. Good news is 2 are in good shape and ready for the kiddie to have fun. But found out one is near death. Lol. Neede crank bearings and a top end. : ( sounds like a good winter project for me and the boy. Never gone into a bottom end but I guess it s time to learn. So I take it 94 is a stock jet? And as for the 110 just trying to keep everything all on the same fuel. But I might have a can just for the lt80s at just premium at 32 to 1. Thanks for the reassurance about the dunes and jetting. 3' less bikes to worry about. Does the same hold true for the blaster and jetting for the dunes?

I would think that stock jetting would work in the blaster.
Not a expert in those for sure.I did have one years ago. .
