Hey guys, i just picked up a 1990 (according to VIN) Quadrunner 250 2wd atv for $380. (i think that isnt too bad a deal) The plastics are beat to hell and sewn together with zip ties but it runs great (starts quicker than my Sportsman!). How do i tell what kind of 250 it is? I keep seeing LT250R, LT250S, and LT250T so im not sure what the difference is. Anyone know where i can pick up some plastics and a headlight? Anything to look for with issues on these? Should i change the oil right away? Anyone know where i can find an owners manual? TIA

 

That's either a lt250s or a lt250f, its not a lt250r because the 250r's are two stroke racing quads. Here's a good website to get plastics for older quads Maier ATV plastic. I would just buy a used headlight from ebay. And it would probably be a good idea to change the oil. You can get a clymers repair manuel at your local motorsports store or off ebay.

OK thanks - is there any difference between the S or F?? Any idea why the rear tires of this thing bow in so much???

 

I don't know the difference, but the positive camber should go away once you sit on it.

 

The reason the camber is so bad on the rear tires is the rear shocks are turned all the way to their highest setting.....look at the rear shocks and see.....maybe the person that had that ATV was a little on the heavy side. All you need to do is adjust the spring bottom cams to a lower setting.
