the 230E and 230S frames are completely different. Almost night and day different if you look at the motor mount in the front under the header pipe. the E model has a bolt hole for a long bolt similar to the bolt that runs through the footpeg and skid plate for the bottom motor mount. here is a couple of pics of how to tell the difference between the E model frame and the S model frame.

if you ask me. there is a big difference. but i will review bigcam's pics too see if his is a franken-build.

very possible!! wheres the numbers on motor?? all i found are 1500 on case below oil cap,..an on bottom lip of jug its got 159 CMz id like to order a susuki book for it an a new carb,..an tune up an oil change supplys but need to know for sure what i got?? been reading the big thread,an mine is awful weak compared to what some say theres run....

Could that CMz actually say CM2, as in 159cc engine? That sure looks like a 230S or E frame. The S did not come with a rack, but I thought it was a rear rack for the E model? I think it is very possible someone transplanted a 160 motor in that frame. The first 160 was made in 1989, but the plastics are more the "next gen" styling from what is in your pics.

yes it could be CM2,..the rack has been added on to it! what lil ive rode it,it dont have near the power most yall seem to have! thanks for helping!

well the mystery is solved. its an 89 lt230e frame witha lt160 engine on it.
