exhaust upgrade needed to be jetted??

Default exhaust upgrade needed to be jetted??

I have a 89 suzuki lt250s. its 4 stroke and i was told that if i replace the factory muffler i would need to up the jets in the carb. Is this true and if so how much?

If you move to a freer flowing exhaust, then that is true. Generally if it is JUST a slip on you will need to go up one or two sizes on the main, and possibly one size on the pilot

well the carb has a 110 main and 25 pilot factory and my friend put in a 112 main cuz its been bored .50 over. would that be enough to compensate??

If it needed a bigger main for the overbore then that probably isn't enough for the pipe too.

oic......ok so if i can get ahold of a like 114 main, it would be enough for the pipe as well right?

Maybe, you have to put it in and see how it runs, do a plug test, etc. It is always best to start out a bit rich(jet to big.)
