Hey Guys! I just joined! Bought a 2002 LT80 for my 9-year old daughter this morning. She's upgrading from a Kazuma. We rode trails recently and it seemed like the Kazuma was beating her up pretty good (suspension). I'll go through the bike tonight but it seems to be in pretty good condition. I've read tons of threads on the LT80 and am pretty excited for her. She has no idea I picked it up, so when I open the garage tonight she'll be in for a shocker!

One thing I'd like to do right away is add nerfbars (for safety). I don't want her jamming her foot off the front of the pegs. Does any have some old unused ones I could buy? If not I'll probably order some from AC Racing. Thanks!!

 

The best set-up I've seen is the steel nerfs then we welded the heel guards on.
For what it's worth, the feet don't slip forward. Always back.
