Default Quad Sport 80 engine removal???

How hard or what's involved in pulling/removing the complete engine from a 2001 Suzuki Quadsport 80? I haven't done to much work on ATV's. However I pulled and rebuilt many small block Chevy engines for My Camaro's and older Chevy trucks. I have all the machine work done, then check all my tolerances and do all my own assembly work. I only mention the small block Chevy's because I do have mechanical ability. Just never took a engine out of a little ATV. Is it something that can be done relativity easily.

Thanks, NYH1!

I think it's easy.
remove rear plastic, remove the hood and disconnect wires.
disconnect the ground wire from the motor. Removve the airbox.unscrerew the top of the carb.
Remove the top rear shock bolt. Take the brake cable off.
Remove all 4 footpeg bolts.
Remove air ducting boots.
Remove the big bolt that holds the motor in (front).
Motor should come out and rear end will come out..
I may have forgot a cpl simple and obvious things.

I have it about 3/4 the way out. It seems like it's hung up on something. I'll have to look at it more tomorrow.

Thanks, NYH1!

LT80, how hard is it to rebuild the engines on these little QS80's? My sons started out with a slight knock, got a little worse. Before he stopped riding it, it never really got any louder and never lost any power of any kind. I'm interested in more of a OEM type of rebuild. A little extra power, not much more though. The faster I build it, the faster he'll ride it, you know how that go's.

NYH1!
