Default 97king quad fuel problem

Hi im new to the forum and I have a question about my 1997 king quad. I got it for free and it wasnt running and had been sitting for a few years.i got it running and it ran good for about a year but then it would barley run. It would idle but would die when given gas. It got worse until it wouldnt start at all. I cleaned the carb and checked the fuel lines and they were clean. The fuel pump was full of rust and stuff. I cleaned it and it still wont run. After trying to start it I will pull the plug and it will always be soaked in gas.but It will start if I spray starting fluid in the carb. It gets a little bit of gas to the carb but I dont know how much it is supposed to get. I was wondering if the fuel pump is bad or if it is something else. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I think your problem is all in the carb.. Spend the money and rebuild it, new jets, needle and fuel float needle. You can find the kits on eBay for around $28!
These ATV's are bullet proof other then you or someone trying to destroying them.
