idle problems

Default idle problems

hi i have an 86 lt 250 r that was running great, and then a couple days ago it just quit starting, i took the carb apart and cleaned and now it starts up but revs like i have the throttle pinned, i checked everything i could think of, all boots are sealed properly adjustment screws seem to be right, i just cant figure out why its doing this, any help is appreciated

You do not have the slide in correctly. There is a pin that the groove in the slide goes in.
That'll let the slide go down to it's proper position.

i checked the slide and it seemed to be right, the grooves are lined up, and the needle is going into the hole, got any other ideas? thanks for the help

Dang.
One more thing on the slide, Did the clip that holds the needle down happen to fall out?
That would let the needle raise up and rev when started.
If that's all 100% it does sound like a air leak.
You checked the boots and such so I'm thinking crank seals.

ill check the clip, the needle moves around [side to side] alot when the slide is out im not sure if its supposed to or not, and the intake boot does have a large crack on the inside but it doesnt appear to reach the surface, and the crank seals are what i was worried about how hard is it to change them, and what could of caused them to go bad, thanks again for the help
