Just purchased 01 KQ 300, couple questions
#1
Hey guys,
I just purchased a 01 KQ 300 for a pretty good price I feel. It comes with a winch, and full plow setup. Its in pretty good working condition. The only thing broken on it is the speedometer, but I just order one off ebay. I wanna do a tuneup, although it runs fine. I was thinking oil change, new spark plug, air filter, and front diff. I wanted to know can I use 80-90w hypoid for the front? That's what I just used on my cousin's arctic cat, and what I have laying around.
Also I'm wondering if there is anything else I should do? I *may* tackle the carb, but the quad is running pretty strong now, and I added some of that Star Tron stabilizer/cleaner into the gas as well as topped it off with fresh gas, so I hope i can avoid that.
The battery is on a floater now.
Last question, it has new front plastics, and I'd like to transfer the warning labels from the old one, to the new one. They appear to be riveted into the plastic. How should I go about removing the rivets to lift the label off? Can I get rivets at home depot to put back on?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
