Default need advice

yes i have a 2000 suzuki quadmaster 500 and i read it is suppose to have descent engine breaking , but has none it just coases when let off the gas , even worse on a downhill any thoughts would be helpfull

Centrifugal clutch getting worn? I have an older Bayou that does that. If you tweak the throttle, does it catch?

no it does not. but it runs ok when i put it into gear its just a slow doesnot seem to have that get up and go , but it moves with no hesitation

If it's down on power then it's most definitely not the clutch. I'd check the compression and make sure the fuel system is clean.

heythanks im rebuilding the carb as we speak, so i hope that helps cause i also notice a real bad fuel smeel when starting and i had fuel in my air box
