96 LT80 - Power issues
#1
I bought an LT80 for the kiddos a couple of weeks ago and noticed it's lacking power and has poor throttle response. Flat land it's plenty fast for my kids but I just know it's lacking....proof was getting it to climb small hills and inclines, it can barely get out of ruts once at a stop.
I'm going to go through it at some point but what are some quick minor mods I can do to wake this old thing up.
How can I mod the exhaust without buying an aftermarket?
And how about the air box, anything quick and easy to improve flow?

The stock pipe works very well with or without mods. I've seen plenty of hacked up LT80 pipes and non ran better than stock.
I leave the airboxes alone. I can get 13k+rpm's with a stock air box.
Raising the rpm's with porting is how to increase airflow.
For now, I think you need to do a compression test and some clutch maintenence.
