Well im new here and i bought a 1980 somthing 1990 somthing quadrunner 230. I dunno what year it is and i need to buy a carb kit and i cant figure out the model. Its pull start/eleteric. no clutch. im having a problem with it dying when i give it gas. it will idle(whenever it will start). thats another thing that it will start whenever it wants to. The guy i bought it from had a 80cc ignition coil on it??? and it needs an air filter. i runs great when it runs but if i get on it hard it will sputter out and die????......if anyone can shed some light on me that would be great. Im not really knowledgable about 4 wheelers. sry.

 

I see the old ignition coil says 1989

 

ok so it a 230e but now i dunno what year, engine coil says 1989, vin is been ripped off but the last 2 numbers. it look almost just like this one 1990 Suzuki LT 230 E 4 stroke quad runner for $700 for Sale in Goodrich, Michigan Classified | ShowMeTheAd.com decals and stuff but the grill is red and the motor is red with a blue seat.

look on the front part of the frame on the left side. the should be 2 plates on 2differnt tubes on the frame. 1 will have only the vin # the other will a lot of info on it like the year the exact model etc
thats how i figured out my lt230sg quadsport from 1986
