Question Nitrogen Shock Refill? Where? Who?

I took apart my LT250r shock to change the oil and replace the head seal but I can't find anyone that will recharge my shock with nitrogen!? There are no do it yourself in a can supplies for this? I tried 4 motorcycle shops and a company that fills CO2 tanks for paintball guns...this is becoming a nightmare!

Maybe that's my next route, we have a local Chrysler and Chevy dealership.

Interesting. There is at least one cycle shop near me that fills. Welding supply shops carry nitrogen, but no idea if they will charge it for you. If it needs recharged maybe you should just send it out for a rebuild?

Question

Best I found was 34 miles away and it's a $40 minimum service. Seriously am I going to damage anything if I give it a quick shot of air from my air compressor so I can RIDE IT! lol

Default LT250r

SO, I realized nitrogen is only used to prevent change in riding condition under a temp range, and the dryness of the gas. That being said I'm going to try to get a season out of it charged with air instead.

I can't get it to take a charge/hold air! Brand new head seal, but when I pressurize it either that reservoir cap gets ****-eyed or it stays straight and the air just seeps right out around the cap clip ring...if I keep trying to get it to bead/seal it sprays oil out all around the cap and all over me so it must be getting around the plunger. Any tips and hints!? I figured maybe I need a new plunger but they don't even sell them (CheapCycleParts diagrams)

I just put $500 into my motor ALL I WANA DO IS RIDE PLEASE HELP!

"I can't get it to take a charge/hold air! Brand new head seal"
And this is why your going to send it out to be done right.
GTHunder is your best bet.
