Talking Lt 80

hi i have a suzuki lt 80. i was wondering if anyone could answer some questions about my bike. my bike idles good, has power but only speeds up to about 15 mph. i took off the front variator and took it apart and 2 out of 6 rollers were flipped and the pads/shoes (idk wut their called) seemed to be worn. i looked everywhere but i didn't see any pads for sale for the front clutch, all i saw was the plastic clips that go in the movable face plate..cant find the original whatever you call it that goes around the edges of the movable plate.
ill post pics later.
any help will be appreciated!

hi Jack it's good to finally meet you i have seen many of your posts/threads and have learned a lot from you. i went to the website you posted and i found the clutch and all it showed was the 3 dampers that go inside the sheeve...but in my clutch it didn't have the three dampers, instead it had some plastic pieces around the edges of the movable plate, so i went to Zuki shop today and showed them my front clutch. even they didn't know what that plastic thing that went around the movable drive plate..they believe it's supposed to replace the 3 dampers, (maybe to hold the plate in place) or its just a different kind of damper. I guess whoever worked on it before invented some sort of damper for it instead of using the 3 regular dampers. i had a hard time removing the plate from the sheave (which is not right because it's supposed to move up/down). also, the rollers were down to the metal, there was no plastic left on them, so i'm guessing i need to get rollers as well right?
weird though that i cant find the other kind of dampers like the worn ones that i just took off the plate..(ill post pics soon so you get the idea of what im talking about) you probably already know because i just described it but to make things easier ill post pics..one more thing i picked up 3 plastic dampers for the plate but they don't fit..do you think the plate is made for a different kind of damper?
should i just file the parts of the movable plate where the dampers go? would that damage the movable plate?
no wonder why it revved high and bearly moved.. whoever worked on it didn't know what he was doin..

that was a pic i got from ebay but here are the ones i got from the Zuki shop are different: (maybe that's why they don't fit-they're the wrong ones);( notice it's more V-shaped compared to the blue ones on ebay)

they're plastic-is that how they should be? or rubber?

You need those shiney new parts. Except for the outer fixxed face. It's the expensive part.
FYI: the piece your talking about does not slide. The variator slides.
Those things that was sold to you will not work.
FYI: There are no aftermarket clutch parts for the Suzuki.

By the looks of it...nobody worked on it..LOL

Yes, you'll need the movable plate that isn't a movable plate. LMAO
You'll also need the variator (thing the rollers sit in). That's what moves.
If you look on the plate and variator where the rollers contact, I'm sure you'll see gouges and such.
Prolly need the variator seal too.

You knOw where I got the "movable Plate" thing? From its name and also the Zuki shop said it supposed to slide in/out as the rollers roll up/down. So your saying the plate doesn't slide but instead the varaitor does? I'll post pics and if u could tell me wether I need new ones ( I was hoping to save a lil cash) what happens if I just change rollers and dampers? but ill get the whole set if i need to..its just that i bought this
bike for $200
ebay coil $20 used
ebay petcock $30
Ebay battery $30
Zuki uni filter $26
rollers and dampers $75 from Zuki (seems a bit high yeah?? i got ripped off on that, im goin back there today and ask what's the deal
and another $100 bucks for paint, gas,oil etc.
basically $400+ already and i dont know even the year,(checked everywhere), don't know how much it's worth, i just got it to play with it, fart around on it and sell it (possibly keep it if i like it's performance) without losing any money on it
see no more vin number;
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_11971.jpg

heres my bike;
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...1/IMG_1141.jpg

heres the piston i think it's still good because has great
compression and before i took out the clutch had lots of power (carried 3 ppl no problem) but it wood overevv and go like 15 mph;
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12021.jpg

here are some other photos, i don't think i need to take off the rear clutch, because i think my problem was the front clutch, besides i don't have an impact wrench, unless you kno another way i can remove it so i could see if it's still good?

http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...1/DSC00476.jpg
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...1/DSC00475.jpg

you were right there are gouges on this movable plate;
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...1/DSC00473.jpg

as well as the variator;
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...1/DSC00472.jpg

http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...1/DSC00470.jpg

idk what the heck the previous owner did or didn't do with this
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...1/DSC00463.jpg
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/...DSC00465-1.jpg

also the suzuki dealer said not to put grease on the variator at all, but u said you need to right?
is it ok not to put any grease? or just a tad of regular grease?
the zuki dealer said not to jumpstart my lt 80 with a car? is it ok if the car is not running when i jumpstart it?

do i need a new starter gear?

also i looked at the northridge diagram of the lt80 clutch..i realized that when i took off my front clutch it never did have the #15 WASHER
09160-14063 (replaces 09160-14048)
is it really neccesary?

should a buy a used variator? or one that has been wet? (saw one on ebay)

Btw what is the varaitor seal is that the o ring? or is it the oil seal? so have you ever seen that plastic **************** that i had on the fixed face plate?

do u have a Front clutch movable face and front clutch fixed face plate for sale? if not where can i can one for cheap?

btw here is the o ring i thhink its still good though,
http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/.../IMG_12111.jpg

sorry for overwhelming you with all these questions and pics..it took me like an hour to come up with all this
please give me some advise and thoughts and answers on these questions and pics.
i appreciate your help.. your an expert what can i say!
