Default rear axle shaft in 2000 quadmaster

just installing a new right rear axle shaft in a 2000 quadmaster 500. first problem is the installation diagram I printed from OEM showing the rear hub. It cannot be installed as shown in the diagram, it must be reversed in order to seal. 2ndly I cannot get the hub to seat tight against the brake drum. When the nut and washer are tightened there is still an 1/8" gap between the hub and brake drum. Is it possible they gave me an incorrect shaft ( too long) or am I missing something/

Don't know that model at all. We started selling Suzukis in 06 but LH and RH may be different lengths. Also all 500s seem to have got the LTA/LTF prefixes, and there could be confusion between your model and the Vinson, so dealer may have given you the wrong part. Check, with an on-line parts list such as partzilla, if the part number you got is the right one.
