87 lt-f230 neutral light, reverse light.
#1
hey guys!!!!! its my first post as i am new to this forum.
i just bought a 1987 Suzuki LT-F230 and i'm taking the whole thing apart to bring it up to my standards. this is also my very first ATV! (i'm 24 years old
)
everything seems to be working fine except the reverse indicator light and the neutral indicator light . ive pulled the bulb's and ones burnt, i looked at the wiring diagram and it seem's like the circuit will not work properly if only one bulb of 2 bulbs are burnt out considering they are connected in series. is this correct? or is my reverse indicator switch dead , or is it the neutral indicator switch? or the neutral relay maybe? also the previous owner made a jumper in the started circuit to bypass the neutral transmission position starting condition ( safety precaution )
all research done in the service manual :
wiring diagram page #264
ignition system page #154
and starting circuit page #156
anybody have this happen to them or witnessed this?
thanks in advance for all input!
