How long do you "soak" the centrifigal clutch in oil?

Default How long do you "soak" the centrifigal clutch in oil?

They say to soak the manual clutch pads overnight in oil, what about the centrifugal clutch that mounts to the end of the crankshaft?

The aftermarket shoes are a beige color, the old pads are deep black.

*sigh* 43 views and not even a guess, recommendation or opinion, I'm soaking them overnight, right or wrong.

This is a clutch similar to the Polaris Expedition 425. Just place a good film around the clutch shoes and drum then assemble. All the centrifugal drum type shoes will turn dark from being bathed in the oil after a few years..

Thanks for the reply, the ATV is back together as we speak, just did a five mile ride, gotta break it in you know.

I had difficulties in assembly, I couldn't tighten the manual clutch hub nut(shaft kept free turning) and couldn't get my proper torque on the nut, so I just used an impact. It worked.

I have a polaris 425 Expedition - What are the part numbers for the lock nuts that are on the clutches one is a 3086378, I can not find the part number for the other one.
