That is awesome! I'm bringing an 89 lt250s back to life as well, and of course I can't find any fenders for it...
What I did find, was that we can actually slap 06-08 ltr fenders on it. They also have the white and blue scheme, so I think that's what I'll end up doing
if you guys want to get rid of any parts lmk :P

Yes sir. I found it on a different forum while desperately searching for parts for mine hahaha. This is what the guy said he had to do:
"I made 4 cuts with a dremel, the rear fenders have a coolant resevoir cutout and a tool kit holder, both those interfere with the frame so they had to be cut, andthe front gas tank shrou two tabs. thats it."

Yeah I found that thread too when I was thinking of new plastics for mine. I just ended up getting new LT250s fenders for mine as I didn't want to try this mod.

BUT now that you might be doing it please post up a thread on it with lots of pics if you do put LTR fenders on yours.

 

Yeah it would be nice to be able to restore it fully. When I got it I got it as a rolling frame and 3 boxes of parts haha.
I'm having a really hard time finding parts for this thing though. I have the front plastics, but not the rear.
If I do end up finding plastics for it by a miracle, I'll probably keep them just like one keeps nice clothes haha.
Have the beat ones for the trails and the good ones for "Sunday mornings" haha
