Was trying to get my daughters LT80 running and was struggling. So I removed the carb and cleaned it and reinstalled it. It still wouldnt fire and it had spark so I Removed the aircleaner tube from the carb and was hand choking it when it spit and sputtered and tried to start. I let off the switch and tried it again and nothing--totally dead, will not turn over, no clicking,nothing... At the time when I was trying to start it I had the Battery charger .5amp hooked up to it. But now it will not do anything. I am open for any suggestions on what to check because my daughter is getting upset with me.

I had a simialar problem with my sons LT-80. When sitting on it on the right rear side under the fender is a little electrical switch attached to the frame which is a breaker. (his is a 2000 model) There is a red stick that pops out about 1 inch and the tech guys told me to push it back in so I did and nothing but the problem with mine was that the breaker was bad so check and see if the red stick is popped out of the breaker. Thats what happened to his so I hope this helps!!

Zoinks, Thanks for the reply but I am unable to find such a breaker on this LT80. Guess I forgot and left off the part about this unit is a 1988 model.

The 88 has a fuse under the seat. Also check the relay. It is a black box about an inch square. Also the switch on the brake pedal could be bad.
