No particular starter. The place I got from was in Fla. Last one I got was like 80 bucks.
I did have trouble with one but they were great to deal with and had a starter here in 2 days.
I'll check my "parts" starters and see if I have a good bendix for you.
Running:: I suspect it being loaded up w/fuel. Once running again, pick the rear end up and give it a good high rpm spin. Yup..It'll smoke.
