Lt250r idle problem

Default Lt250r idle problem

Hay guys I'm new here but I'll accept any answer but I bought this ltr off this dude on Craigslist everything works great except it won't idle so I was like OK all I have to do Is mess with the idle screw so i started messing with it (it has a keihin carb ) and no matter what position the screw was in it never idle's woven when I turn it all the way in,I have to move the twist throttle just a pinch I took the carb apart and cleaned the jets but it still does the same thing could you guys help me put idk what it could be

Generally, idle issues are related to the pilot jet. I would start with the easiest first. Make sure the air filter is clean. Then check your spark plug and replace if needed. I know you said that you took the carb apart, but chances are you are going to need to disassemble it again and thoroughly clean out all passages. Using carb cleaner, spray all passages then blow out with compressed air. Make sure you remove all O-rings/gaskets. Carb cleaner will ruin them. Carefully inspect your main jet and pilot jet to ensure that they are not clogged. Torch tip cleaners are great for cleaning out jets. If this doesn't fix it, inspect your reeds and check for vacuum leaks. Good luck and post your results.
