Default Ltz50 suspension mods

Has anyone modded a suzuki ltz50 suspension? ive searched with no luck.

My son (5year old) has been riding for a while now, we have upgraded the cdi and exhaust on it so he can keep up a little better with us, (i ride a trx400x and my older son a Raptor 80) we for the most part ride on somewhat rough trails with rocks, hills, small drops etc, Ive noticed how stiff the stock suspension is and I i believe its too stiff to suit the type of riding we do and he struggles to control it.

I get it, its a starter atv meant to learn controls and the get used to the feeling of riding. but hes past that. Hes the one taking the hits from drops and rocks on the trail instead of the suspension.

I have a similar issue with his brothers raptor 80, but ive found a couple threads with suggestions to give the suspension more travel and soften it up a bit.

Any suggestions? or should i just wait til hes ready for something bigger?

thanks in advance

You need a Apex or DRR. They have suspension. Plus their 50's can be made into 70cc's when the time comes.

If it were a bigger machine that you knew you'd get many more miles out of then I'd consider it, but Jack is right, start again with a good platform that can be built up from...

I'm converting my son's LT80...but he will have this for quite some time...

Exactly. A DRR/Apex can be rode till 12 years old easy and then go to another kid.
The suspension makes a world of difference for the kids.
