i tried everything on this 1992 king quad 300,will not start when its cold
only way it does is if i put the heat gun on the head for a few minuts
or if its in the 70 or 80tys out it will start right up.then i don,t know if its going to die on me in the woods untill i put the choke all the way closed.thinking of getting another wheeler

If you have to pull the choke out either the carb jets are gummed up,needle and seat sticking or fuel supply isn't adequate to the carb. Plus if you haven't pulled the carb might be time to do it,check fuel flow to the carb and rebuild it with a good quality kit.1991-1998 Suzuki 300 Kingquad Lt4wdx Carb Carburetor Repair Kit 03-209 | eBay

Exactly what have you tried? This will eliminate a lot of guessing on our part.

Bad starting is often low compression, re set the valves, and if that doesn't improve things check compression. Could well be running lean, so if the comp is OK, take OPT's advice on cleaning the carb etc.

do you check compression when engine is cold or after it warms up?

"i tried everything on this 1992 king quad 300,"
Again, what did you actually do. Sounds like nothing.

We would not have to guess on things if you would reply.

Interesting, never heard of anyone testing compression hot, or that it would alter that much between hot and cold. 85psi is on the limit, but 115 is OK. If the valves are OK, clean the carb out.
