Default LT80 starter

Anyone ever have the starter try to engage when riding? Like your pressing the start button. I also noticed when the LT80 is off and I sit down hard on the seat it fires up, even without the safety lever engaged. Maybe a ground or pinched wire?

That's a new one.. Maybe see if the seat is hitting the electric connections under the seat.
12v has to be going to the starter wire somehow.

LT80- Thanks for the reply. Sorry it took so long to post, Right after I posted I ripped the plastic off and found a wire grounding out on the exhaust. Fixed it and been running great. Next question is do you have an upgrade for the rear shock? looking for something a bit stiffer. Thanks

Ask Dirtdevil101, he made a fox shock fit Good option. No real shock for stock that helps much. 2" of travel gets you just so much. Works and Elka may make them but...
Glad you found the problem.

Yup...the only direct fit, rebuildable, fully adjustable shock for the LT80 is the Fox Float MXR...they are 10.25" eye to eye and offer 3" of tunable travel. Not cheap, but anything good isn't...

There are 2 variations...one is "stiffer" than the other...that's the one you want for the rear unless your rider is very light, then you can get the softer one and just jack up the air pressure...
