Default Suzuki LT80 Crank seals

Hello,
Looking for some advice. My nephew has a lt80 and it would not run. Long story, but it traced it to the stator side crank seal is bad. Removed the flywheel and stator and crank seal just fell out. Bought an oem seal and it will slip in to the lip on the outside, but it will fall out as well. Do these need to be installed to a correct depth or need a sealant installed on the outside of the seal? thanks

Welcome to the forums.
I push them in till the lip on the seal contacts the case. I coat them with a lil grease.
Never had any fall out before.

That does not seem like a lot to hold them in. They are not very tight
