Default Kingquad lurches when shifting

Hi,

I am having an issue with my kingquad, when I start it up while in neutral then shift it to reverse, it will lurch backwards.

any idea of what can be causing this?

Idle speed sounds too high, your throttle cable may be set wrong, make sure the thumb lever has some free play when on idle. Or the throttle butterfly may be sticking slightly open, you are not supposed to mess with this. The stop for the butterfly may have been altered, again you are not supposed to touch it. An EFI system fault could cause a high idle, but I suspect this would be a job for the dealer's diagnostic computer.
