New user here, but I’ve been reading everything I can about how to make power out of these things on this page and others. I’ve got 2, an “89 and a “93. Trying to make one of them as fast as possible, but not if it’s gonna cause me to have to replace the engine all the time/replace parts.

-Carb and exhaust restrictors are all removed

-Tracking front and rear clutch mods.... remove two rollers, make sure they all weigh the same on a gram scale, make sure they’re not worn out... make rear shoes weigh 180 grams, etc

-shave .030 off the heads

-port out the reed cage, use better reeds

-keep stock air box

-upgrade pipe but only certain ones

-chain/sprocket swap

I’ve done a couple of these, mainly just trying to figure out what really makes them scream though? I know username LT80 is “the guy”, tried finding a website high and low but had no luck. Lol If you’re out there, curious what my
options are and cost? Thanks!!
