gears to PENNZILLA
#1
Pennzilla, I don't think your e-mail site is working properly. I can't seem to reach you and noticed that someone else in this forum had the same problem. My question is: When you were talking about having new gears cut did that mean have some new ones made for your transmission? If so who does this and how much does it cost?

TUDORS DOES THIS SO DOES CT, I HAD MY GEARS UNDERCUT A LITTLE SO I CAN SHIFT FASTER WITHOUT THE CLUTCH WHEN HILLSHOOTING A DUNE. AS FOR COST I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE I HAD OTHER WORK DONE AT THE SAME TIME. I DO KNOW THAT MOST PLACES CHARGE 175 JUST TO SPLIT THE CASES. AS FOR MY E-MAIL I FIXED IT AFTER THE LAST POST THAT BROUGHT THAT TO MY ATTENTION. I HAVE BEEN GETTING MAIL BUT I WILL CHECK IT AGAIN.

You had your OLD gears cut or you had some totally NEW ones made? I already have the cases split and have the gears out. The ones I have are worn pretty bad and some are even missing some teeth from a prior chain-binding incident.

YES I HAD MY OLD ONES CUT. YOU CAN GET NEW ONES FROM THE FACTORY IF YOURS ARE HOUSED. CALL TUDORS OR CT AND SEE IF THEY HAVE THE AFTERMARKET SETS AVAILIABLE. I KNOW A WHILE BACK THERE WERE A COUPLE OF PLACES THAT MADE GEARS FOR THE 250 NOT SURE ABOUT THE ZILLA. TUDORS IS THE ONE WHO CUT MINE BUT THEY WERE IN GOOD SHAPE.
