Hi, I’m new to the group….I have just bought my lad a 1991 LT50.
it’s a bit of nostalgia for me too having ridden these myself as a kid.
it’s in good shape generally but I want to go through it and replace any parts that have worn and give it a good service.
one thing that is bothering me is if I put it on blocks and let the rear spin off the ground both sides are wobbling. What would cause this? Will it just be the bearings/seals in the centre axle carrier or is it more likely to be a bent axle?
thanks,
Ben.

Check the axle shaft for "lift" in the bearings when it is on blocks. Usually it is bent wheels or hubs, but could be a bent axle, after 30 years of abuse by several different children, some damage is likely, If it isn't noticeable to the rider, anything except worn bearings is not worth worrying about.
