Default Lt80 Wiring colours at ignition switch/key

Hi,

Bought a lt80 for my son recently.
I have a safety pull chord that I want to fit so if he falls off the bike will cut out.

I am looking to know what the wiring is around the ignition switch/key so I can splice in to fit the kill chord.

Current wiring is standard, so, red orange, black yellow, black white.

which wires should I break into to fit the switch?

thanks in advance all!

Black/red (plugs into black/yellow at switch), and black/white, which is earth. Short them out and engine stops.

hi. So if I have safety kill chord which of the cables should I splice into so that when the chord is pulled the ignition is killed also? I don’t know much about wiring but can solder the 2 wires from the kill switch into whatever wires they need joined to.

thanks

You need a safety cord switch that closes contacts when pulled, and solder one side to either black/red or black/yellow and other to black/white, or earth it.
