Ok it's 1988 quadracer 250, PERFECT FRAME(never welded)was painted recently too. Plastic a little rough but still ok. Has about 25hrs on new top end(last bore) has a fmf silencer and has spyder tracks in the back and stockers up front... both at 40-50% thread....


The quad runs strong and fast BUT sometimes 4th and 5th slips(slightly) on asphalp and I found some metal flakes in my tranny oil last time I changed it..... so I assume it will need a tranny one of these days......... =D

I also have these spare parts....

raditator
foot pegs
spare seat(camouflage type like the 92's)
clutch lever and cable
some other stuff I'm forgeting......




I was planning on swapping an Kwasaki ex500 engine in it but fell in love with the 400ex when I test rode it.....


SO HOW MUCH SHOULD I SELL IT FOR ?????? ANYBODY INTERESTED ???????

I WANT TO SELL IT TO PUT A DOWN PAYMENT ON A 400EX.........

Without seeing a pic or any mention of the last time you went all through the chassis I would have to guess you should go for about 2 grand for it if you want a quick sale.

 

I was hoping for something between 1100-1500$ for it cuz od the tranny problem......

If the tranny is "slipping" and there are metal shavings in the oil, I would say that the clutch basket is the culprit (around $200). If that is the case, you don't have to split the cases or remove the motor. Just remove the right side cover and check out the situation. Removing the cover is simple even for a novice, but once it is off, you may want someone with previous experience visually check the clutch.
