It looks like a re-packaged 500 utility quad; same engine and tranny. I was hoping for something more. Yellow isn't my favorite color either. Maybe when more details are provided, this quad will differentiate itself from the rest.
I've heard rumors of an automatic 400 too. Has any info been published about this yet?

Looks like a few extras. Light on the handlebar, new headlights, front bumper design. But the biggest thing as far as I can tell from the picture is it looks like it has a longer wheelbase. If this is true then it's a new frame. Also looks like the fenders allow for more wheel travel.
Red's my favorite color. Maybe I'll change the plastic on my KQ.

I can't figure out what a Vinson even is. I looked on www.webster.com and there's some guy named Vinson but that's it. Suzuki needs to just can all their decision makers and hire some real ATVers that know what the ATV world wants. Vinson...like anyone will remember that.
<< Yeah, but what kind of name is "Vinson" for a four wheeler? >>

I also looked it up. Sounds like a Madison Ave. name like the car makers use. It means nothing but is supposed generate some "ooooo" response(IE the Caddy Alante(sp?). It could al be some kind Japanese word. But why would they do that in an American market. I now we all want names like muddawg, cowtrailer, woodsman, or a host of fur bearing animals that Yamaha has chosen. Of course tack on the HO as Polaris has done.
The name doesn't bother me as long as it is a sound quad.

sure looks to be a lot of Yamaha influence on this new machine. Cats eye headlights and the new grill almost looks like it had some of it's styling cues from the new Grizz. The headlight pod looks like that came off a Polaris. All in all, it's a far cry better from the old Suzi's in the looks dept. I might even have to go back to riding a Suzuki vs. my Polaris if this machine proves to be any good.

Hey guys
Mt. Vinson is a mountain in Antarctica. The quad features a bunch of new things including a reworked tranny, with electronic engine braking, hi/lo range, push button 4wd, as well as long travel suspension (double wishbone in the front solid axle single piggyback shock in the rear) and disc brakes all the way around. No locking diff. 5.1 inches front travel, 7.9 inches rear, 50 inch wheelbase.
Suzuki also has four other new quads called the Eiger. (another mountain.) They are 400cc utility quads with auto or manual trannies, 2 or 4 wheel drive 6.7 inches front suspension travel, 7.1 inches rear, disc brakes etc. You can get info on all these quads on suzuki's canadian site at www.suzuki.ca.
