Dead reliable, sometimes they burn a little oil but thats OK. Just watch the bearings, swingarm, A-arm, axle.

Yeah just check all the swing arm, rear axel bearings. The 230 quadsport is known for bearings being out and throwing the chain then putting a hole in the sidecase. If its been rolled chances are the steering stem is bent like mine was. I rolled it hard 4 times on a race track and bent the a arms, spindles, steering stem, and broke the handlebars. The a arms just barely moved tho, so it still drove pretty straight. They're a pretty reliable machine. Oh yeah don't try and catch any major air with the front shocks.

The major problem on mine was the chain slipping off and then put a whole in my side case like mentioned above. They are pretty nice quads considering their age, size, and not being liquid cooled. My old LT230 would climb over anything also, it was better than some 4X4's I was out messing around with.

no but the one I had is for sale, the people that bought it from me rode it for an hour and then it blew up. Now they rebuilt it and bored it out to a 280. It is in Sunriver. I don't know for sure if it is still for sale though
