Stock power of LT250R???
#11
I hear ya guys...and agree...it can cost a lot more to get a 400EX to "wake up" to the performance levels seen in stock 250R's, LT250R's and the like. But it is possible.
With approx. $800 in motor-mods to mine, I walk my friend's LT250R in drags, trails, tracks, etc....CONSISTANTLY. And that's not the only 250 (or siliarly powered) quad that I've taken in races.
Take it or leave it, but to see some actual dyno HP #'s on modded 400EX's similar to mine, check out the GT-Thunder website. They don't have a dyno for my specific 416/cam/jetting/pipe, but you can interpolate the power based on the 426, and similar dynos.

Sure Manilow from now on,i will get my bikes dyno tested at your place.I owned an Lt 250r for 8 years when i finally sold it,it was ported lightly it had a pipe so i dont know what i am talkig about thats pretty obvious.I was just wondering how many hps would my modded Shee put out on your Dyno, probably something like 145 hp because i crush every 250 cc quads wich according to you make from 35-45 hp cause they all have pipes and most of them are ported.

I'm back for more there is no "My Place".How would a bike that makes 38 HP from which an ATV is directly based on lose 5-10 HP?Its no insult to a Shee, they are great machines and I'm sure you beat many 250s in drag racing, but a nicely tuned 250 with an acceptable pipe WILL put out mid 30s and is very easy to get 40s from.A piped Shee in comparison will put out around 43-45HP.
