I've had my 2000 Quadrunner 500 for a year and 7 months and it's had squealing brakes for a year and 7 months and I can't stand it any longer. I remember alot of people complaining about the same problem months back so I was hoping someone may have found a fix for this. Thanks.

The most common stated cause for this is the caliper's piston rubbing on the brake pad's metal core (backside). There is a product you can buy to put on the backside of the pad which I think is a type of grease. The pads for my old pickup actually came with a thin anti-squeal shim to install between piston and pad.

Duct Tape on the back of the pads will cure the sqeak. Or you cna go to the local auto parts store and get some stop sqeek for disk brakes. The duct tape is the cheaper way to go.
